Neela Ramgopal at a live concert during the December Music festival at Chennai. Starting with a brilliant Varnam in the raga Hindolam, this live thematic concert is a winner all the way. The artist has covered a wide gamut of popular composers of Tamizh compositions. The concert also features the tamizh Kriti of Shyama Sastri in Poorvikalyani. A superb delineation of Mohanam followed by the popular Kriti Jagadeeswari is the highlight of the concert. She is accompanied by renowned artists like R.K.Sriram Kumar on the Violin, Poongulam Subramaniam on the Mridangam and Udupi Sridhar on the Ghatam.

Smt. Neela Ramgopal is a senior musician from Bangalore and has served the Carnatic music field for over 40 years. She is a much sought after teacher and has been supporting the learning of Carnatic music in Karnataka immensely. She is an ‘A’Top artist of All India Radio Bangalore and has many awards and titles to her credit.
