O.S Thyagarajan is a renowned musician in the field of Carnatic classical Music. He started his journey into music under the able guidance of his father Sri O.V.Subramaniam a well known musician, and further honed his skills learning from doyens like Sri Lalgudi G. Jayaraman and Sri T.M.Thyagarajan. He has several titles and awards to his credit. He has performed concerts extensively in India and abroad. He is an all time favorite among avid listeners of traditional Classical Music, much admired for his wide repertoire, a mellifluous voice and effortless rendering. He has served as the Dean of the Department of Music at Annamalai University, Chidambaram.
